Back to school after a long break! I hope your kids enjoyed their time off!
It'll be good to have a few weeks of routine school days!
American History
We are going to be celebrating Black History Month this week, learning about several people who have made a difference in our country!
Phonics: long u spelled:
single long vowel u--menu, music
ew-few, new, view
ue--blue, fuel, cue, rescue
u_e--cute, flute
Math
Today we learned a new math skill. Addition Regrouping--we have worked all year on this. When we have more than 9 ones, we bundle ten and move them to the tens place. In our math lesson, we circled 10 ones and moved them with an arrow to the tens place. Then we count how many ones we have left.
It would be a great idea to have your child do the homework page to practice if they haven't turned it in!
