Our last full week of Kindergarten!

This week we are learning about one more life cycle!  The frog!  We have to learn about frogs since I decorate the room with them!  We sang a song yesterday called Metamorphosis and the kids loved it!  It had lyrics about the butterfly and tadpole metamorphosis and also about changing from a Kindergartner to a first grader.  You may be hearing it around your house!

The kids are really catching on to telling time to the hour using an analog clock and a digital clock.  I will introduce telling time to the half hour too if we have time.

Friday is our Field Day!  Mrs. Koehn will be here for me.  I really feel bad missing Field Day but my son's Senior Breakfast and awards are that morning.  He graduates this Saturday!  Yes, I am old enough to have a senior!  Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle with their name on it.  Also, remember to apply sunscreen before coming to school.  I am forwarding the events schedule and map of where the events are.  All are welcome to follow our class around and enjoy watching them do their events!  Siblings are welcome to come watch also!

Here are Mr. Hothan's reminders:

Field Day Reminders

Sunscreen
Water Bottles
Tennis shoes
Athletic gear
Hats
CLASS COLOR--Our color to wear is BLUE on Field Day! ( It makes it easier to find the kids!)

Yearbooks--Yearbooks will not come home until the last day of school.  We will meet with the other KDG classes to sign the autograph page.

Snacks!  It looks like we have enough snacks to make it through next week!  THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR MANY DONATIONS!
